PATTERN MAKING

A Pattern is a detailed flat image- created by hand or digitally that is used as the template to cut the fabric. The pattern is what dictates fit. Once you have your pattern confirmed
(usually after 2-3 prototypes) you will need to Grading your file. Grading requires a spec (found in your tech pack) and establishes sizing. There are industry standards for patterns and grading, but almost all brands take great pride in building garments that fit their target market.

These services includes edits at a fee due to the nature and complexity of pattern making.
Included in your Initial pattern drafting you will have a 30 min phone call at project initiation.
In order to « check » the pattern you must make a sample with the pattern… only then will you see if it fits.

All files will be located in a Google Drive and can be downloaded as a .dxf file — you will not be able to open it, only those with pattern making software can open these files.

Please provide the following:

(By permanent we mean not a post-it note just stuck on… make sure we can tell which product is which when we open the package. For fabric usually a safety pin note is best way.)

*** IF sending a roll of fabric, or if your vendor is sending us a roll of fabric- please do email us
with the tracking information. Contact our studio manager, vanessa@helloworldfashion.com to coordinate!

NOTE: we do not provide any supplies for the sample making beyond thread. We do our best to thread match.

11.
VIRTUAL FITTING

Schedule a fitting with one of our talented Technical Designers to get great tips and feedback on the construction and fit of your garment. It is recommended that you send the garment to the designer and have them do the fitting so that they can evaluate closely, but the designer can also work with you in your location. Either way the Technical designer will keep track of all of the notes and you can order edits to your tech pack or try to do them yourself, and guide you thru the process of achieving your best fit.
